Al Franken for Senate
Originally a satirical writer for Saturday Night Live, Al Franken has been involved in politics since the 1990s. He has written books such as Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Other Observations, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, and The Truth (with jokes)- all bestsellers poking fun at the conservative agenda- in addition to hosting a radio show on Air America and being the subject of a documentary released in 2006.
Franken is currently running for the United States Senate (D-Minnesota), and his progressive politics have made him a popular figure for Democrats. His platform rests on the following ideals: better funding for education, universal health care, fighting debt and rising gas prices, honoring and supporting veteran's affairs, and ending the war in Iraq.
Presently, Franken is deadlocked with his Republican opponent. Donate towards Al Franken's campaign today to help add a valuable seat to Congress.

Paws for Purple Hearts
Paws for Purple Hearts (PPH) is an organization dedicated to aiding the healing process of our returning combat veterans. The program teaches those with psychological scars to train service dogs to assist their comrades left with physical disabilities.
The process of training a service dog for a fellow veteran helps address many of the symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Training the dogs enhances self worth, provides an opportunity to practice emotional regulation, and creates a reason for participating in new social relationships.
The service dogs are trained to assist in daily activities, while offering unconditional love and accompanying their partner everywhere.
